The Up’s and Down’s of Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding has definitely been a learning curve for me.
I naively believed that it would be easy, and even easier the second time round but I was wrong. Breastfeeding is hard. In the beginning it hurts – if you’re told it shouldn’t hurt then they’re wrong. Until you get used to it, it hurts a little, after all you are feeding maybe ten times a day.
There there is the loneliness; I have had some of my loneliest times breastfeeding. But it was also some of the most enjoyable moments I have had in Motherhood.

Have ‘Modern Mothers Lost the Plot’?

I’m not discrediting all of her views and after all they are views. Everyone is allowed to have them. And it is up to me if I agree or disagree with those views. My concern is that some of her views is going against medical advice and people are likely to listen to her because of her medical background.
