Art Party
Our friends at Birthday Express have come up with a great themed Art Party! Visit them today to purchase some of these great birthday products!

If you’re the proud parent of a budding creative type celebrating a special day, then our brand new Art Party (coming soon to Birthday Express!) is the perfect fit. With this theme, any birthday party can become a masterpiece!
Jenny Dixon of Craft That Party provided the styling for us, and all the photos are courtesy of Allison Duda from A JOY Photography. In fact, Allison’s daughter Maddie was the guest of honor at this birthday party, which is why we were more than happy to help out with these art-themed party supplies!
Additional photos of this party are also featured on ediTORIal by Tori Spelling. Continue reading here to get inspired!
The key to this party theme, and the main reason why it’s so special, is that the birthday boy or girl gets to create their own custom party supplies! Here, Maddie draws her own paper plate designs before the party …
… and here is Maddie’s artwork brought to life on the finished piece! Any original artwork by your child can be uploaded to Birthday Express and professionally printed onto our party supplies, with the same level of quality as the rest of our products.
We pride ourselves on our selection of exclusive and unique birthday party supplies, and this theme lets you build a birthday that is truly one-of-a-kind! Stay tuned to be among the first to purchase these party supplies!
Welcome to Maddie’s Art Studio! This cute framed sign propped up with a painter’s easel welcomed guests to the backyard gallery. Spray-painted chairs complemented the multicolored paper decorations (honeycomb tissue paper balls, paper lanterns and fluffy paper poofs) that hung from above.
In the background, a wild assortment of equally colorful picture frames (that would later frame the children’s artwork) were hung on the fence and helped establish a fun party scene right off the bat.
Easy DIY easels supported table cards and smaller picture frames. To make your own, create an A-frame with paper straws, hot glue into place and add another straw in the back for support.
If you lack the space to hang frames, another great backdrop idea can be made from an old white sheet, suspended from ladders and clothesline. Splatter the sheet with different colors of paint – the kids will have an absolute blast helping out with this, and it will also provide the perfect setting for photo ops later on in the party.
All of the kids loved being able to create their own art right at table with (washable!) paints and markers.
Of course, those berets helped them feel like real artists, too!
Even the best artists in the world need to get those “creative juices” flowing! Bottles of your child’s favorite beverages can be decorated with white paper labels that have been drawn and colored upon.
Chevron paper plates in every color of the rainbow are a fabulous pairing to introduce into this colorful party theme. Guests can choose their favorite ones to use, and they match up perfectly with other solid color and chevron party decorations.
No birthday party is complete without sweets, and this party was certainly no exception. Picture frames showed off rainbows of candy and cupcakes, turning ordinary refreshments into something “picture perfect.”
With a black beret and giant pink photo frame, the birthday girl was all set. Taking a family photo in crayon costumes was a fun and funny photo op, too! Soon after, everyone was up for a few group pictures:
