Meet our blog of the week: Being a Mummy! We are so inspired by this Stay at Home Mom’s recipes and food ideas as she tested them on her little toddler. We know you will love this blog as much as we do!
Q.What inspired you to start your blog?
- I started the blog about 3 years ago to pen down recipes and food ideas that I was trying out for my then 2 year old boy.
I have a background in recipe development and food writing. After the son came I decided to be a SAHM. With this blog I thought it was a good way to use my time and expertise at the same time help out many other clueless moms. Back then there were not many genuine blogs / sites offering recipes for kids and toddlers. So, everything put together inspired me to give birth to this blog.
Q.What is your blog about?
- I primarily started out sharing recipes as well as food ideas for toddlers. All original and experimented on my son. Over the years have shared what I have been feeding him and giving out ideas to moms with fussy eaters (my son thankfully isn’t one).
Lately, I have ventured into product reviews and food reviews too. Mostly they revolve around kid’s brand.
Q.What are you passionate about?
- Food. More so now it’s about eating healthy. My son is 5 and he relishes almost everything now, but I have instilled that healthy and unhealthy food sense in him already. That is how my recipes for him are developed and that is what I plan to preach through my blog – healthy eating for kids.
Since I am always in the kitchen my son also spends most of his time with me…he is now a foodie and a budding chef too. I want to pass on my passion and ideas to him.
Q.Where do you see your blog in five years?
A.Till about a year ago the blog has been a leisure affair for me, I posted recipes as and when time permitted. But now I have started blogging seriously. Am looking at more brand collaborations while continue to share and educate parents with my recipes and food tips for kids.
I definitely want people to consider my blog when they think “what should I feed my child”?
I also plan to start blogging on general parenting topics by sharing personal experiences, now that my son is old enough and has many adventures of his own J However,
Food will always remain the prime topic on my blog.
