Alice is our cute baby of the week! This adorable sweetheart is the baby of bloggers One Hull of A Mum and One Hull of A Dad, two of our favorites! It’s no secret why Alice is our cute baby of the week, she is beautiful! Let’s hear more about Alice’s story…
What is your babies name and why did you choose this name for your baby?
My baby girl is called Alice. She is named after the most precious angel, my Auntie Alice. We lost my auntie in 2009 and it broke my heart, I think about her every single day. As soon as I held my baby girl in my arms I felt a rush of love, she had her hands interlocked which is how my auntie used to sit. I Knew that she was a real life angel sent from my angel in the sky.
How old is your baby now?
My baby girl is 23 months old now, time really is flying by. I thought with my first child that time went by quick but the second?? it is crazy how much quicker it goes!
Tell us about your baby’s birth story…
I had to have an elective C section with my little girl as I couldn’t give birth naturally after the birth of my little boy. (that’s horror story for another time) We was scheduled in for a Friday morning and we was set to go down into theatre for 11am. I was so nervous and didn’t know what to expect, there was an emergency, so my place was put back and it turned into a waiting game..12pm came and the surgeon was ready for me to walk down to surgery. The atmosphere was weird, everyone seemed so laid back and happy. The midwives was excited as I was the only lady that didn’t know the sex of the baby and there had been 4 boys born in the morning, the bets was taken! 12.05 the epidural was in and here goes….The lady who administered the anaesthetic asked if she could play a little music as she was going on holiday after they had me out of the way so she wanted to set her mood, yes why not I thought….
Stevie Wonder came on and the surgeon told me that my baby would be born in a matter of minutes…
“isn’t she lovely, isn’t she wonderful” played in the background.
just as the song started I knew….we had a girl!! I couldn’t stop crying I was so so happy!
What is your baby’s personality like?
My girl is so loving and kind but slightly mad. She climbs everywhere and eats everything! She’s a sensitive sole with a crazy imagination!
