The Humble Beginning

Author Matt Tavares answers the longing question of all children and big Christmas enthusiasts for the back story of our favorite eight reindeer. We learn that Dasher, as a young child is with her family in a traveling circus. There, Dasher and her family work long and tedious hours for the unkind J.P. Finnegan. He wants the reindeer to work and not even think of anything else! However, Dasher’s Mother tells her about the North Star and how life is outside of these cages and harsh travel conditions. Dasher longs to see if her Mother’s tales are true and one night, wishing on a star, something incredible happens. Will Dasher escape and be able to find Santa Claus and a better life for her and her family?
