Try this delicious Caprese Salad recipe!
Why not make a Caprese Salad garden with your kids this spring? They will love getting all messy in the dirt while you plant, and then feel invested in the growth of the veggies all summer long. Plus, watching a tomato they grow might help them actually want to eat it! Win win
One of my favorite salads to make all summer long is a Caprese Salad. They are incredibly easy to throw together and absolutely yummy—especially when tomatoes taste ripe and juicy in the hot summer months!
How To Plant A Caprese Salad Garden
1.) Pick up some basil, some already planted tomatoes, 2 medium sized pots, and some vegetable soil at the garden store.
2.) Once you’re home, fill the bottom 3rd of the pots with soil. Remove the plants from their plastic pots and gently loosen the roots. Place plants in their respective pots. Fill the pots with dirt and press the dirt down and around the plants.
3.) Water your plants and watch them grow! Then make a caprese salad throughout the summer and watch everybody devour the fruits of their labor.
