latchMe App Review

When my son was first born I was given a 3 minute tutorial by a nurse at my local hospital on how to breast feed and then I was on my own. She latched him onto me and walked away. I didn’t know how to unlatch him, or how to even latch him again later that day. I didn’t have many friends or family that successfully breasted their own children. I was completely on my own, but determined to make it work.

I spent hours on the internet and at the library looking for answers to the many questions that I had. The latchMe app provides community support group and resources to breastfeeding moms. It allows mothers, who just like me, where struggling to breastfeed. The 24-hour support group is available where parents can ask questions and receive answers by other users. Simply type in your question into the discussion page and await an answer. On my trail run, I was amazed on how quickly I received a response from someone.

One of my favorite features is that parents are able to search for support and breastfeeding friendly restaurants within their area. I was amazed on how many resources and support programs there were in my area. I wish I had known about all of these locals groups and locations when I was first starting out. It can be lonely being home with a new baby and not knowing who to turn to for help.

With the amount of support that this app provides, no breastfeeding mom would ever need any other app that is out there. This app is the perfect balance of support that is available and having the immediate response to breastfeeding questions.
With my next child (someday) I will be using the Latch Me app. If you haven’t already done so…check this app out today!
