What’s It About
New from MacMillan Publishing Group, author Linda Liu takes us on a journey of a sour apple that was not picked to be eaten. The apple will not be used to eat or for pies. This apple is not even chosen by insects to munch on! As the Apple realizes it is not only last but has not been chosen at all, it is taken into the ground. Then, over time something incredible happens. Sour Apple realizes that falling behind does not mean finishing last. Sometimes, your purpose can be so great, you could never see the bigger picture.
Morals
Author Linda Liu writes a book that helps young and hesitant writers read this book with ease. They will learn a flux of emotions but also be able to relate to this book. Sometimes, we do not achieve our goals as quickly as we would like. Other times, we do not achieve them at all. However, we can’t always comprehend the end goal. Life has a better way to show some of us. This is such a gift for children to learn so young. Most adults are still learning this valuable lesson! We loved this book and know that Sour Apple will stay in our library and be read again and again.
