When it comes to going on a family holiday, no destination meets your needs quite like Las Vegas. The city of glitz and glamour offers a variety of entertainments and you certainly don’t have to set foot in a casino to get the best out of your family holiday in Vegas. If you’ve booked a trip to the city with the family, here are a few suggestions on what to do while you’re there and how you can make life easier during your stay.

Madame Tussauds

We see the stars on the silver screens and wish we could meet them. That’s not always possible, of course, but Madame Tussauds provides the next best thing: the chance to see life-like waxwork models of some of the biggest stars on the Planet. The museum is different into various themes such as ‘Music Icons’, ‘Marvel’ and ‘Sports’, so kids will be able to see favorites such as Miley Cyrus and the Incredible Hulk.

The Las Vegas Natural History Museum

You might think a history museum is a bit of a stuffy places to take kids, but that’s where you’d be wrong, as this natural history museum is quite fascinating in fact. Here children and adults will be able to learn about the natural world and learn about some of the past civilizations, like the ancient Egyptians. Possibly the most amazing part of the museum for the young ones will be the Prehistoric Life gallery, which features a 35-foot-long Tyrannosaurus Rex. The Cox Charities Young Scientists is also an insightful part of the museum, where children can learn about digging for fossils and what’s it like to sail in a submarine.

M & Ms World

Name a child that doesn’t like chocolate. In M & Ms World, situated on the corner of the famous Las Vegas Strip, the little ones will be in their element. There are four floors all dedicated to M & Ms. On the third floor, you can personalize your own M & Ms, and on the fourth there’s a short movie about M &Ms.

The Children’s Park

Located in Town Square, the Children’s Park offers an ideal place to cool down when the sun is out. The park covers 13,000 square feet and includes sprinklers, a garden maze and a treehouse. The park also suits adults since it is surrounded by shops and upmarket stores, like H&M, Juicy Couture and Apple, and coffee bars, where you can take a time out while the kids run around among the sprinklers!

Making life easier for yourself during the holiday

You need to be organized when you’re travelling with kids, of course, and they’ll always want to be entertained. Instead of being spontaneous, plan ahead because this will help things to run more smoothly. Pack their luggage for them instead of letting them pack it, no matter how tempting to give them that little bit of independence – you don’t want to arrive at your destination and find that they’ve packed the wrong thing!

If they’re young children, give them their own camera, so they can photo the things that interest them (they may even develop their own interest in photography!). If you’re travelling with older children, suggest that they keep their own travel diary: this will keep them occupied, and will also make interesting reading when you all look back on your travels some day.

Las Vegas is a wholly entertaining place to spend a holiday, even when you never set foot in the casinos.   You and your family will have a splendid time.
