Step2® Brings Supercar Sports Design to Bedtime with Realistic Toddler-to-Twin Bed

STREETSBORO, Ohio-January 7, 2016-The Corvette® Z06 is no longer just a dream car for adults-the world-class supercar design has made its way to children’s bedrooms with the Step2® Z06 Corvette Toddler-to-Twin Bed. Kicking off 2016 in style, the realistic looking bed will have children racing to sleep with a sleek design that even parents can enjoy.

Step2 recently leaked images of its second version of the must-have sports car bed, which has the same styling as Corvette’s Z06 model-this time with the new C7 body style. True to its real-life, world-class counterpart, the race car bed is engineered with a lightweight yet durable frame for a longer-lasting product that can be used for years to come. The Z06 accommodates a toddler (crib) mattress that can then be converted to accommodate a twin mattress, making the transition to a larger bed a fun experience for toddlers. Sharp-looking headlights tap on and off to serve as a night light, and a built-in race track helps encourage toddlers to make their way to bed.

“Corvette sports cars have always been a staple for enthusiasts around the world, and we saw an opportunity to build off of the success of our previous Corvette bed by continuing to bring this fun experience to children with a new model and body style,” said Aaron Taylor, product manager for Step2. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for parents to bond with their children through interactive play and share a common interest from a young age.”
Both Step2 and General Motors Co. place pride in the ingenuity, quality and value of their American-made products, creating a perfect alignment for a partnership between the two Midwest-headquartered companies. Step2 previously worked with GM to launch a bedroom combo collection that included a Corvette dresser, organizer and bed, and will now be adding the Z06 bed to the line.

The Step2 Z06 Corvette Toddler-to-Twin bed will be available exclusively at Toys R Us in February 2016 with an MSRP of $329.99. The children’s products company will also be featuring the bed at the 2016 New York International Auto Show from March 25-April 3. For more information, visit .
